I’ve worked with many brands during my time on Instagram, but my favorite long term partnership is with Mejuri, a jewelry brand that offers quality pieces at a fraction of the cost you’d expect to see at traditional department stores. About half my pieces are gifted from the brand, and the other half I bought myself or have received as gifts from loved ones. Suffice to say, I wouldn’t spend my own hard earned ca$hola on a brand if I didn’t think it was worth it!

I’m always wearing their gold pieces and often get questions on the quality of their pieces, and whether I think their pieces are worth it, and which are my favorites. Since Mejuri has their Black Friday sale coming up next week, where you can get 10% off one piece, 15% off two pieces, and 20% off three, I figured this would be a good time to talk about my favorite pieces and what I’ll personally be picking up during the sale.

Materials

I’ll be focusing on Mejuri’s gold items today, since that’s what I own from them and I’m not a silver girl. However, they do offer their pieces in silver and even have a men’s collection as well.

Mejuri’s gold pieces are either made of 14k solid gold or 18k gold vermeil. 14k solid gold is the most expensive, but also the most long lasting option of the two. You can wear this material into the shower, while working out, and more without worrying about tarnishing. This is a great option for pieces that you think you’ll wear for 5+ years or for a lifetime. Mejuri also uses recycled gold in their jewelry, which you can learn more about here.

18k Gold Vermeil is a thick layer of 18k gold, a minimum of 2.5 microns thick, and layered over sterling silver. Because it’s not solid gold. this is a great option for trendier pieces that you don’t want to spend big bucks on. I’ve never had any of my gold vermeil from Mejuri tarnish, but I’m also careful with how I store my pieces (do not store them in the sun, or anywhere humid like the bathroom) and I always take them off before I shower.

My favorite pieces

Single Mini Hoop and Single Colored Mini Hoop (14k): At $30 and $60 respectively, I think this is a great price for simple solid 14k gold hoops. I wear these every day in my 2nd and 3rd lobe piercings, and don’t ever take them out – they’re 14k gold, so I can sleep and shower in them.

Dôme Hoops (gold vermeil): These are my favorite hoops EVER. I bought them myself at their Los Angeles showroom and I wear these on an almost daily basis. They haven’t shown any signs of tarnishing since last year, and I think they’re a great way to spice up an outfit without going too crazy.

Pearl Stacked Hoops (gold vermeil): These are such a statement piece and a trendy take on the classic hoop. I’ll also wear these hoops in my second piercing, along with another pair of hoops in my 1st.

Croissant Dôme Ring (gold vermeil) and Charlotte Bold Ring (gold vermeil) : Pictured to the left, these rings are some of my favorite statement pieces from Mejuri. Perfect worn alone or stacked with other rings, both these rings dress up any outfit – even a plane t-shirt and jeans.

Solo Diamond Ring (14k) – Pictured to the left. Ben bought this ring for me as a birthday gift last year and it’s a piece I wear every single day. It’s held up well and I love how dainty and low key it is.

Vermeil Bangle (Gold Vermeil) – a basic bangle that I love layering with other bracelets from Mejuri, such as the double curb chain bracelet (below)

Double Curb Chain Bracelet (Gold Vermeil) – chains are so in right now and I absolutely love this bracelet! The chain lays nicely on the wrist and I love how it pairs with other bracelets in my collection.

Tarot Moon Necklace (gold vermeil)

Dot Necklace (gold vermeil) : One of my favorite layering pieces, I wear this with both chunkier pieces (like the curb chain necklace) or longer pendant necklaces like the Tarot Moon Necklace.

Double Curb Chain (gold vermeil) : This necklace was my first foray into chains, and I love how edgy it is without being too edgy – I feel 100% comfortable wearing this into business meetings.

What I’m eyeing to buy during the Black Friday sale

14k Bold Hoops: I’ve been looking for a pair of everyday solid gold hoops to wear in my first lobe piercing, one that I wouldn’t have to worry about taking out when I shower and sleep. I’ll be honest, I looked around for brands outside of Mejuri too and this was really the best price I could find across the board, even compared to independent jewelers on Etsy.

Croissant Dôme hoops:

Midi Hoops: I have a pair of hoops just like this from another Jewelry brand (bought when Mejuri didn’t offer a hoop in this size) and I wear them all the time. The pair I have (not Mejuri) are gold plated, and these are gold vermeil – and the Mejuri ones are cheaper!
